Pseudo-noise sequence also referred to as Pseudo-Random Binary Sequence (PRBS) is used to create noise that is almost ‘white’. This sequence is used in many applications like cryptography, scrambling and spread-spectrum communications. ‘Pseudo’ word states that the sequence is not random, it consists of a deterministic sequence of pulses that repeat after a specific period.
