Fossil fuels are a class of hydrocarbon-containing materials present inside Earth’s outer layer that works as the source of energy. Coal, crude oil, and natural gas are the eminent fossil fuels produced from the fossilized, concealed remnants of plants and animals that lived millions of years ago. They were created as a result of geologic processes that acted on the remains of the natural resource produced in the process of photosynthesis and the process is believed to have begun in the Archean Eon. Because of the process of their origin fossil fuels contain a high amount of carbon content. Some commonly derived products from fossil fuels are kerosene and propane.
