What is iSCSI?

ISCSI stands for Internet Small Computer System Interface. It is a transport layer protocol that describes how the Small Computer System Interface ( SCSI) packets should be transported over a TCP/IP network. it is used for the mapping of block-oriented storage data over TCP/IP networks.
