For what Directives are used in Angular?

In Angular, directives are just a function that is executed whenever the compiler finds the directive function in the DOM. With these functions, you can change the appearance or behavior of a DOM element.

There are three kinds of directives present in the Angular.

  • Component Directive – It has a template.
  • Structural Directive – It is used to add or remove DOM elements thus changing the layout.
  • Attribute Directive – It is used to change the appearance or behavior of an element.
